The Big Steal tells the story of Vladimir Putin and his violent assault on human dignity, rule of law, democracy and truth – in Russia, its neighbours and across the West.
A former KGB officer, Putin climbed his way to the presidency of the world’s largest nation, and put in place a mafia state that steals from its own people to cause havoc abroad. When he stole the country’s most successful energy company, Yukos, he gave a clear warning of what was to come. Since then, Western enablers in politics, business and the law have helped Putin on his way.
Gavin Esler speaks to the people who have challenged Putin, tried to understand him, or simply hoped to survive. He takes us through to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and a new and dangerous world that is opening up, and asks the question: where do we go next?

I’m Tiffany Brown and I share a podcast with my partner, North, who I met in December of 2018. We both love traveling around in a 2018 Dodge Sprinter Van, waking up in nature, and living life off the grid. We’re minimalists who have condensed our lives down to everything that can fit inside a van. We’re sharing our story so ultimately we will attract more young Black people to this lifestyle, because it’s a great way to live. We’ll give you travel tips for all the places we visit, and ways to make van life easier for you. Occasionally we swear, but nothing too crazy, we’re just passionate people.

After writing about movies and TV on Woman in Revolt for 7+ years, I (Lindsay Pugh) decided to start a podcast. Every time I visit Jo Nesteruk, my BFF/mentor/fake mom, we spend the weekend watching movies and having great discussions. There is a 26 year age gap between us, so we often have different perspectives and points of reference, but always leave each conversation with a deeper appreciation for what we watched. On this podcast, you’ll hear us discuss films and TV shows made awesome, at least in part, because of women, whether they be actresses, writers, directors, costume or production designers, editors, cinematographers, etc. We aim to not only provide a thorough discussion with thoughtful analysis, but to spotlight women that might not be on your radar. We talk about old films, new films, TV shows, and whatever else may interest us at the time. New episodes every month.
